Abstract Moses Waddel (1770-1840) was an educator and Presybeterian minister of South Carolina and Georgia. The collection contains three letters written by Waddel and a typed transcription of "A Register of Marriages Celebrated and Solemnized by Moses Waddel." One letter was written from Waddel's South Carolina academy, 1798, about needs and attainments of students, and two were written while he was president of Franklin College (now the University of Georgia), Athens, Ga., 1823 and 1825, about church matters and the college.
