Abstract | Professional genealogist Cora Christabel Curry was born in Oxford, Ohio, where her father, William Wallace Curry, was the pastor of a Universalist Church. From 1881 to 1930, Cora Christabel Curry was a government clerk, primarily in the Bureau of Navigation. Curry also served as the librarian of the National Genealogical Society and historian of the Henckel Family Association. Series 1 contains correspondence mostly relating to genealogical research and copies of wills and other papers of Cora Christabel Curry's ancestors. Series 2 contains genealogical data relating to numerous families. Included are charts, notes, copies of documents, and other materials compiled by Cora Christabel Curry in the course of her activities as a professional genealogical researcher. |
