The collection consists of three videotapes related to the work of the NCSHP: two tapes of the 2001 North Carolina Legal Immigration Forum and one tape of the North Carolina Hispanic Educational Summit.

The North Carolina Society of Hispanic Professionals (Sociedad de Profesionales Hispanos) was founded in 1999 and its mission "is to promote the education of Hispanic students at all scholastic levels. Through our educational programs and initiatives, we work to lower the dropout rate of Hispanic students in North Carolina and provide them with access to higher education. We believe that an investment in a Hispanic student is an investment in North Carolina."

North Carolina Hispanic Educational Summit, 2001

This summit was organized by the North Carolina Society of Hispanic Professionals and was held at the Kenan Flagler Schoolof Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The video includes footage of the summit with commentary by keynote speakers and presenters and was created by Penny Simpson for the NCSHP. Running time: approximately 30 minutes.
