Abstract	The Catherine and Robert Yates Collection consists primarily of photographs of Chadbourn, North Carolina, around the turn of the twentieth century. Many images depict the strawberry industry, including strawberry fields, markets, and the first long-distance air shipment of strawberries in 1946. Other images depict Chadbourn streets and scenes, businesses, schools, and railroads, as well as other areas in North Carolina and Virginia. Also included are images of various individuals, including William Harmon Chadbourn.

The Catherine and Robert Yates Collection consists primarily of photographs of Chadbourn, North Carolina, around the turn of the twentieth century. Many images depict the strawberry industry, including strawberry fields, markets, and the first long-distance air shipment of strawberries in 1946. Other images depict Chadbourn streets and scenes, businesses, schools, and railroads, as well as other areas in North Carolina and Virginia. Also included are images of various individuals, including William Harmon Chadbourn.
