Abstract | Albert Moses Luria was a lieutenant in the 23rd North Carolina Infantry Regiment, Confederate States of America. The collection includes extracts from Albert Moses Luria's letters and journal, 1861-1862, and from the journal of Luria's sweetheart, Eliza M. Moses, May 1861-October 1862, with foreword, and extensive notes and comment by Stanford E. Moses, 1933. Luria's letters and journal describe his experiences serving in Virginia as a lieutenant in the 23rd North Carolina Infantry Regiment, Confederate States of America. Moses's diary describes civilian life during the Civil War and her feelings for Luria. |
