Abstract | J. Marshall McCue (fl. 1867) was a resident of Mt. Solon, Va. The collection is a typed compilation (location of originals unknown) containing parts of two 1867 letters from J. Marshall McCue, Mt. Solon, Va., to Cyrus Hall McCormick (1809-1884), and a brief description of other correspondence between McCue and McCormick. McCue discussed his disgruntlement with the current social and political situation in the South and described in some detail advantages of Southerners moving to Brazil. |
