The collection contains letterpress copybooks and volumes containing letters and bills of Harris concerning management and financing of the plantation. Included are many letters to George C. Harris in Memphis, Tenn., from a cotton factor, J. L. Harris & Co., of New Orleans, and letters from George C. Harris to various individuals about payments of notes and ordering supplies for the plantation. |
