Abstract | Christopher N. Leroy was a shipping agent of Boston, Mass. The collection is a ledger kept by Leroy, containing accounts of materials shipped to Washington, N.C., September 1836-April 1837, and later used as a scrapbook and headed "Pennie B. Myers, 14 December 1882"; and a daybook of a general merchant, probably from the 1870s-1890s, perhaps from Washington, N.C. Scrapbook items, 1882-1885, consist chiefly of poems from newspapers, advertising cards, and drawings. |
