The collection is an autograph album containing poems and messages to Mary Susannah Winans as well as newspaper clippings. The entries in the album may have been made at the time of her graduation from an unidentified school. The volume itself is not dated, but a clipping in the volume is dated 1836 and a program for anniversary exercises at Centenary College, Jackson, La., 1854, is tipped in. |
