Dugas, cotton broker at Augusta, Ga., and Apalachicola, Fla.; scattered business papers and personal correspondence of the family of Governor Francis Wilkinson Pickens (1805-1869), mainly in South Carolina and while he was minister to Russia, 1858-1860, consisting mostly of letters between women of the family; and personal papers and correspondence of his wife, Lucy Holcombe Pickens. Also included are letters of Lucy Pickens concerning the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association of the Union. |
