Abstract | August Wilhelm was the fourth son of Wilhelm II, German Emperor, (1859-1941). He continued to use the title Prince of Prussia after father's abdication in 1918; he supported the National Socialists in the 1930s. The collection contains letters and picture post cards from Prince August Wilhelm (born 1887) to Hedda von Goeben (Mrs. Herman B.) Behr of New York, N.Y., commenting on events and personalities of the period. Most letters were written in English, some in German. Many of the postcards picture scenes pertaining to the family of Wilhelm II. |
