Abstract | Joseph Pickens McQueen (1854-1904) was the son of John McQueen (1804-1867), a Confederate congressman from South Carolina. The collection includes photocopies of four letters, 1863-1864, from John McQueen while he was a Confederate congressman from South Carolina, to Joseph Pickens McQueen, and three letters 1856, 1864, 1867, from Caroline Pickens, of Greene County, Ala., to her grandson, Joseph Pickens McQueen. All letters deal with personal and family matters. |
