Abstract | The Cumberland Association was a declaration, 20 June 1775, signed by citizens of Cumberland County, N.C., associating to resist Britain. The Cumberland Association is also known as the Liberty Point Resolves. The collection contains the Cumberland Association and items related to the declaration, including a letter transmitting the document from Fayetteville, N.C., to Raleigh, N.C., 1830, and materials about the declaration including a photographic reproduction and transcripts. |
