Abstract | Jacob Lyon Gibble (1834-1927) was a general merchant in Carteret County, N.C. The collection is chiefly account books, 1863-1886, 1892, and 1901-1909, of Gibble. Accounts for 1892 are for business with the Farmers' Alliance. Also included are family letters, primarily 1910-1913, to John B. Gibble in Montana from his relatives in North Carolina. |

Accounts for 1892 are for business with the Farmers' Alliance. Also included are family letters, primarily 1910-1913, to John B. Gibble in Montana from his relatives in North Carolina concerning religious matters. There is also some genealogical material on the Gibble and Delamar families.
