Abstract | Samuel Mills Meek of Tuscaloosa, Ala., was a physician and Methodist minister. He received an honorary M.D. degree from Transylvania University in March 1846. Collection consists of three items: a journal, January 1842- April 1846; a journal, October 1856-April 1858; and a ledger of expenses, 1835. Both journals record Meek's daily activities, his reading from the Bible, the visits he made, births, deaths, and business related to the church. |
