Peter Brockington Bacot (1838-1924) was a physician of Florence and Charleston, S.C. He was educated at the University of North Carolina and the Medical College of the State of South Carolina. He served as the South Carolina state sanitary inspector, 1898, and as an officer and surgeon in the Confederate army.

The collection includes medical, drug, cotton, and personal accounts, scattered other medical and business papers of Peter Brockington Bacot; and photocopies of items in other repositories.
