Abstract | Johnstone H. Quinan was captain of the United States revenue cutter Tahoma. The collection includes the papers of Quinan including a log, 1909, of a voyage from Baltimore, Md., eastward around the world, ending at Port Townsend, Wash., with various data about the voyage and reports of Turkish-Armenian hostilities in the eastern Mediterranean. Also included are other scattered papers including a description of a winter rescue off Alaska, 1910, and other documents relating to dramatic events of Quinan's maritime career. |
