The collection contains unrelated daybooks, ledgers, and other records of general
stores, blacksmith shops, leather and liquor merchants, and other small businesses
of Hillsborough, Chapel Hill, and other locations in Orange County, N.C. Businesses
represented include Barbee and Watson; William Bond; Samuel Claytor; T. D. Crane;
Crain and Nash; Leathers, Latta and Co.; Turner and Jones; and Utley and Culbreth.
