Piper purchased Esther on 7 October 1811 from Michael Letton of Bourbon County, Ky.; Chana and her child on 19 April 1814 from Thomas Buckner of Nicholas County, Ky.; and a Negro girl on 3 October 1814 from William Crawford of Nicholas County, Ky. The photoprints were made in 1954. |
