Abstract | David Wendel (1785-1841) was born in Winchester, Va., moved to Nashville, Tenn., as a child and settled in Murfreesboro, Tenn., about 1817. He was a merchant and postmaster for many years. The collection includes a letter written by David Wendel and an obituary for him; a letter about Wendel family genealogy written by Barrett Wendell of Cambridge, Mass.; an obituary for Virginia A.
