Edwin Wright Morgan (1814-1869) of Pennsylvania was an engineer, educator, and an officer in the United States army. Morgan was educated at the United States Military Academy. He served as 2nd Lieutenant and then 1st Lieutenant of Artillery in various campaigns against Native Americans in Florida, the Cherokee Nation, the West, and Buffalo, N.Y.
