Abstract | Zaccheus Ellis (died 19 March 1865) of Wilmington, N.C., was a lieutenant with Company B, 1st Battalion, North Carolina Heavy Artillery, stationed at the entrance of the Cape Fear River. He was killed in action at Bentonville, N.C. The collection inlcudes two letters, 12 February 1865 and 1 March 1865, from Zaccheus Ellis to his family; and a memo about the Ellis family.
