Abstract | The Vein Mountain Mining Company of McDowell and Rutherford counties, N.C., was owned by Thomas Hamlin Hubbard (1838-1915), a New York businessman. The collection includes letterpress copybooks of Vein Mountain Mining Company, containing copies of letters from local managers to the owner, General Thomas Hamlin Hubbard; copies of letters from local managers to other firms and individuals; and copies of reports and financial statements. The firm engaged in lumbering as well as gold mining. |
