Abstract | Peter Arrington (1869-1916) of Virginia was a business man. His brother-in-law was Malvern Hill Palmer (d. ca. 1897), an attorney in Warrenton, N.C. The collection includes a volume of copies of letters, 1893-1895, sent by the law firm of Walter Alexander Montgomery (1845-1921) and Malvern Hill Palmer concerning their legal business; copies of letters, 1897-1898, written by Arrington at Clarksville, Va., in regard to Malvern Hill Palmer's estate; and some miscellaneous items, including minutes of a 1904 meeting of the Quail Roost Gun Club. |

Peter Arrington (1869-1916) was born in Petersburg, Va., son of Samuel Peter Arrington and Hannah Bolton White Arrington. He was a director of the British-American Tobacco Company, Ltd., of London and died at Bronxville, N.Y. His brother-in-law was Malvern Hill Palmer (d. ca. 1897), a lawyer of Warrenton, N.C.
