Abstract | John Henry McMullan was born in Green County, Va., in 1849, and was graduated from the University of Maryland in 1876. He practiced medicine in Hertford, N.C., for 15 years. In the early 1890s, he settled in Edenton, N.C., where he worked until his death on 10 December 1922. Two account books, circa 510 p. and circa 475 p., of Edenton, N.C., physician John Henry McMullen. Both books contain entries, dated from around 1891 to around 1901, listing fees charged to individuals treated by McMullan. Entries sometimes specify particular ailments treated or medications dispensed. Each volume contains an index of patients. |
