Back to TopCorrespondence, notes, clippings, and other items of Frank C. P. McGlinn and other officers of the Carolina Political Union, organized in 1936 by political science students to bring political leaders to speak at the University of North Carolina and to hold roundtable discussions on current political topics. Most of the Carolina Political Union's activities were taken over by the Carolina Forum, which was organized in 1948.
Most items relate to booking speaking engagements on campus. Included among the correspondents are representatives of the Republican National Committee, the Democratic National Committee, the Union Party, the Socialist Party, and Harley Walter Kidder, Prohibition National Secretary.
