Abstract |
Watkins family of Caswell County, N.C., including farmers Daniel Gunn Watkins (1857-1937)
and Lydia Ann Powell Watkins (1865-1960) and their daughter, Mabel A. Watkins (1903-
), an Army nurse before and during World War II. Genealogical records of the Watkins and Powell families; items collected by Major
Mabel A. Watkins, when she was an Army nurse at the 1st Army Evacuation Hospital and
other hospitals in the South Pacific before and during World War II; an autograph
book belonging to Lydia Powell, 1880; and photographs of Watkins family members, including
travel pictures. Most of the genealogical information was collected by Wilbur Watkins
(1886-1975), son of Daniel and Lydia Watkins.
