Abstract Clarence E. Page Jr. was born in 1917. He attended the University of North Carolina from 1934 to 1938 as a student in the pharmacy program. He later became a licensed pharmacist and lived in Raleigh, N.C. The collection includes correspondence between Clarence E. Page Jr. and his mother during what appears to have been Page's first month at the University of North Carolina in 1934; a Carolina Freshman Handbook from 1934-1935; a letter that Page wrote to the United States Surgeon-General's Office in 1943 requesting information about the United States Army's Pharmacy Corps; and a reply from the War Department regarding the Pharmacy Corps, including an informational circular and an application for commission.
