Abstract Mary A. Barnett was a farmer in Pineville, Mecklenburg County, N.C., whose husband, John W. Barnett, was killed in the Civil War. She maintained the family farm for several years after her husband's death. The collection includes a ledger from the Barnett family farm, as well as genealogical research compiled by Jeannine L. Smith, a descendant of Mary A. Barnett.
