The collection contains 18 letters from Gulledge to his girlfriend Minnie Jones of Wadesboro, N.C. Topics include conditions at Camp Sevier in Greenville, S.C., where Gulledge was stationed prior to his company's deployment to France; Gulledge's wounding on the battlefield in France; and Gulledge's recuperation at a hospital in England.
