Abstract Longhand and typed drafts of Francis William Sharpe Vaughan's autobiography, "A Ramble Back in the Past Trod Years Ago," circa 1896. The autobiography describes Vaughan's life up to the 1890s, paying particular attention to his time as a civilian officer for the Confederate Army. The collection also contains a small sample of a history of Pasquotank County, North Carolina compiled by Vaughan.
