Abstract The 1989 radio show dubbed on audio cassette tape was broadcast on the commercial radio station 2GB News Talk 87 in Sydney, Australia. The show featured a special report on the Australian country music collector and discographer John Edwards (1932-1960) and the John Edwards Memorial Collection in the Southern Folklife Collection at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Also included in the collection is a brief exchange of letters between Australian broadcaster John Raedler and UNC English and folklore professor Dan Patterson about the show. No additional information about John Raedler was provided with the recording. Acquired as part of the Southern Folklife Collection.

In the 1980s, broadcaster John Raedler of Sydney, Australia had a program called the John Raedler Show on 2GB News Talk 87, a commercial radio station in Sydney.

John Edwards (1932-1960) of Sydney, Australia, was one of the first collectors of early American country music and a pioneering discographer of this music.
