Abstract | Audio recording of an interview with Billy Edd Wheeler, a white singer, poet, songwriter, storyteller, and playwright who grew up in Highcoal, W.Va., and lives in Swannanoa, N.C. Recorded in 1975 by University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill student, John N. Warner, a white commercial photographer who graduated from UNC in 1976. Warner made the recording in an English 187 course taught by Daniel W. Patterson for a term paper titled "An Introduction to Billy Edd Wheeler,” which is also found in the collection. |
