Abstract Bill Cook was the producer of The Glenn Reeves show, a country music television program based in Jacksonville, Fla., and broadcast on WFGA-TV in the early to mid-1960s. It was networked over 15 stations in the southeastern United States. The show starred singer and songwriter Glenn Reeves (1932-1999), best known for recording the original demo of "Heartbreak Hotel," and featured a number of prominent country music artists as guests. The collection consists of 79 1-inch C videotapes of The Glenn Reeves show from 1963 to 1966. Each episode is 30 minutes in length. Programs feature Glenn Reeves, the Homestead Singers, the Smithwood Trio, with Jean Sheperd, Lou Olson, Whitey Schaffer, Jackie Robinson, Mike Johnson, "Little" Glenn Smith, Harold Meeks, and Bob Phillips, in various combinations. Guests also include the Wayfarers, Bob Curry, Hank Locklin, Jimmy C. Newman, Billy Walker, Bobby Bare, Dave Dudley, and Shelby, N.C., native Don Gibson.
