Abstract | The David Reinhold Transcription Discs Collection consists of 11 audio recordings of religious radio programs compiled by the Brooklyn-based collector, David Reinhold. Radio programs represented in the collection include The March of Faith, "Sermons in Song" from The General Council of the Assemblies of God, and a recording related to the Southern Religious Radio Conference held in Atlanta, Ga. All of the audio recordings are on undated transcription discs that were presumably made and broadcast in the 1940s and 1950s by National Broadcasting Company and others. |

All of the audio recordings found in the collection are on undated transcription discs that were presumably made and broadcast in the 1940s and 1950s by National Broadcasting Company and others.
According to original disc labels, The March of Faith program (TR-20488/1-9) was produced by Orthacoustic Radio Recording of Madison, Wis. for the National Broadcasting Company. The National Lutheran Council sponsored the program, while Clayton B. Peterson acted as radio consultant. "Sermons in Song" from The General Council of the Assemblies of God (TR-20488/10) was produced and transcribed by Radiozark Enterprises of Springfield, Mo. for the National Broadcasting Company. The Southern Religious Radio Conference recording (TR-20488/11), which features the voice of Chaplain William C. Taggart, was produced by Upstairs Incorporated and recorded in the studios of the Religious Radio Center in Atlanta, Ga.
