Digital files migrated from 23 floppy disks concerning the history of the Department of Pediatrics. Some appear to be drafts of sections from From Infancy to Maturity: The History of the Department of Pediatrics, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, 1952-1995, edited by Floyd W. Denny. Many of the files are duplicates of paper materials.
While the creators used a variety of abbreviations as file extensions, the majority of files are Microsoft Word documents. Documents were likely created using a very early version of Microsoft Word, and are best read using a plain text editor, such as Notepad.
Disk and file titles presented in this description have been derived from disk labels and original file titles.
