Abstract | Information Technology Services Teaching and Learning (ITS-TL) provides instructional technology applications and integration to support the University’s academic mission. In 2005, as part of a reorganization within Information Technology Services, the Center for Instructional Technology of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was absorbed into ITS-TL. The CIT no longer exists as a distinct organization, but many of its functions and activities are handled by ITS-TL. Records consist of 60 videotapes of various campus events, 1985-2004, 195 digital issues of Infobits, 1993-2009, and 253 digital issues of CITations, 1999-2009. Represented events include commencements, University Day proceedings, building dedications, and visits to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus by individuals, including President Bill Clinton, Vice President Al Gore, and Queen Noor of Jordan. CITations was a biweekly report featuring information technology-related news of interest to UNC-CH faculty members, graduate instructors, and the staff who support them, and was produced by the Center for Instructional Technology. Infobits was produced monthly and included an assortment of information and instructional technology sources curated by the ITS-TL information resources consultant for electronic dissemination to educators. |
