Abstract | Jo Anne Earp is a medical sociologist and faculty member in the Department of Health Behavior at the Gillings School of Global Public Health. She joined the faculty in 1974 and served as chair for over 13 years. Faculty papers, 1980-2014, include materials related to the North Carolina Breast Cancer Screening Project, a twelve year program to close the racial gap in breast cancer screening in rural counties; numerous questionnaires developed by Dr. Earp; and materials related to Dr. Earp's course on patient advocacy, the first and one of only of its kind. |
