Louise Davis began attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1933 as a sophomore. At the time UNC did not admit women to the general college or School of Business Administration unless they were locals, so she had to have a local guardian. She was very active in campus life: she joined the Chi Omega sorority, earned a letter in basketball, and was active in many other organizations. In 1937 she graduated with a degree in Business Administration.
