S. R. (Sam Rankin) McKay (1893-1971) was a white dentist in Lillington, N.C.

This collection primarily contains invoices and receipts sent to Dr. S. R. McKay for goods and services pertaining to his dental practice in Lillington, N.C., from 1931 to 1938. Companies include Lillington Ice & Fuel Company, The Raleigh Dental Laboratory, Carolina Dental Depot, Powers & Anderson Dental Company, F. H. Jackson Dental Supply, and others. There is also a small number of letters written to McKay from suppliers, an undated list of approved medical examiners for North Carolina, and a glass sign from McKay's dental office.
