Abstract | The Carolina Trucking Development Company was based in Wilmington, N.C., in the early part of the twentieth century. The Company appears to have been primarily devoted to agricultural development and was involved with establishing farming communities in several counties in North Carolina, some of which were populated by immigrant groups, including German, Dutch, Italian, and Polish peoples.
