Abstract |
The Carolina Center for Jewish Studies was founded in 2003 to support the interdisciplinary
study of Jewish history, culture, and religion. Records of the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies include clippings and other information
on the founding of the center, informational materials for supporters and students,
and posters and pamphlets promoting lectures. There are also video recordings of many
of the lectures sponsored by the center.

The Carolina Center for Jewish Studies was founded in 2003 to support the interdisciplinary
study of Jewish histroy, culture, and religion. The center offers undergraduate minors
in Jewish studies and modern Hebrew and supports graduate students from various disciplines
who are interested in Jewish studies. The center is particularly strong in the study
of Jewish life in the American South. In additon to the academic program, the center
hosts public lectures, film screenings, and seminars, and has an active outreach program.
