David Robert is a former owner of the Chapel Hill (now Carrboro), N.C., music venue Cat's Cradle and previously ran Moonlight Records, an independent record label based in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Scope and content:

The collection consists of financial records for Cat's Cradle, El Morocco, Rock Club Ltd., and Catbird, Inc.; Cradle Robber and other publications; band posters and promotional materials; sound recordings; and club calendars and ephemera. Sound recordings are on audiocassette, 1/4" open reel tape, and 8-track tape, and consist mostly of demos and promotional releases compiled by Robert. Paper materials found with the recordings reside in box 3.
